We carried out an arboricultural survey at a property in Bradford for a client who required a survey as part of their mortgage application. The trees surveyed included two single trees and one group of trees.
Out of the trees surveyed one tree was given a category one recommendation and one tree and the group of trees, the category 2 recommendation. Category 1 recommendations are made for structural/safety reasons and are recommended to be undertaken immediately. Category 2 works are of a cosmetic or general nature only, and usually do not require to be carried out as urgently.
The tree which was given a category one recommendation was an over-mature wild cherry which had a number of defects. Our consultant recommended that the client remove the tree to ground level and treat the stump to prevent any regrowth. Our client also asked us to arrange the tree works on their behalf. We did this by contacting some local tree surgeons and provided our client with the quotes we received. Our client then instructed us to go ahead with their contractor of choice.
