We were contacted and instructed to carry out an arboricultural survey for mortgage purposes for our client in Manchester.
In total, the vegetation surveyed included 2 x trees, 2 x shrubs and a group of young self-seeded saplings. Out of the vegetation that was surveyed our consultant recommended category 2 tree works for 3 of the items. Category 2 works are of a cosmetic or general nature only, and usually do not require to be carried out as urgently.
Providing that the category 2 works were undertaken in the future, and the trees were inspected on a regular basis by a qualified arborist, our consultant concluded that there were no reasons why a mortgage or insurance cover should be refused on the property and our client was able to proceed with their application.
